Default Rise of Nations

A RTS game from Big Huge Games and Microsoft. BHG was founded by Brian Reynolds, of Civ2 and S.M.-Alpha Centauri fame. What they have tried to do, is take all of the great things from RTS games of the past, and add all they know about turn based gameplay. RoN can be played in under an hour. With other settings, 3-4 hour games can be had as well.

RoN has borders, and advanced economy model, unique units and art, and seems to be really well balanced.

I'm not going to spam it up here. If you liked EE, C+C, Warcraft, or the Age series, check it out.

If you have felt that RTS gaming is all "click fest", and too hurried, this might be the game for you. The micromanagement was downsized alot compared to other games.

This is the site I work for. The forums are down right now but....
