Electronic Arts has revealed two new Battlefield sequels from DICE titled
Battlefield 1943
and
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
. Both games are scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Battlefield 1943
will be focused on multiplayer, and it's due out for download this summer. It will be available through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, and there will be a PC version as well.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
is scheduled for winter. Details for
Bad Company 2
are sparse, though one exec said, "... it takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante — more vehicles, more destruction and more team play."

In-game advertisements found
Posted at 01:48:37 CST by

After months of playing this great game there have been some advertisements for a new movie found in-game. Thanks EA, we gamers REALLY want to be marketed to all the time, even after paying money for a game. These are screenshots found while I was playing a round, so I utilized the camera mode and took some screenshots for your viewing displeasure.

Conquest Mode Released For Download
Posted at 00:58:18 CST by
insinuwait
Today Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to download the free update from Xbox Live or the PSN to play Conquest Mode in Battlefield: Bad Company! From
EA
-
Content includes the traditional Battlefield multiplayer game mode, Conquest. Conquest focuses on the capture and control of flags; once a team captures a control point, its members can re-spawn in the area. When a team loses control of all their flags or control points, they cannot re-spawn.
Maintaining control over the flags on the battlefield is a key to victory and the ability to re-spawn troops close to the battlefront can make all the difference for that last offensive push. Four existing maps have been redesigned along with all new lighting and weather effects, to give players a great battlefield on which to play Conquest. Upon entering one of these maps, the U.S. ARMY will face off against either the Russian or Middle Eastern Coalition forces and the battle for control of the territory will begin.
See you on the Battlefield!
